The International Food Safety Culture Conference 2019, to be held in Sunderland later this year, will see speakers from some of the UK’s leading food brands join with key academics from around the globe to discuss issues surrounding safety and culture in the food industry today.
Hosted by food safety training specialists totrain and the University of Sunderland, the event will deliver a symbiosis of industry best practice and leading academic research.
Keynote speaker, Dr Chris Griffiths, Emeritus Professorship at Cardiff Metropolitan University will open the day with his presentation “Food safety: when management systems are not enough”. Dr Griffiths will also close the conference with a look at what the future looks like for food safety culture.
Dr Pieternel Luning, Associate Professor of Food Quality Management at Wageningen University, Holland will also present at the event and they will be joined by speakers from Greggs, Asda, Northumbrian Water, Farne Salmon, Food Standards Scotland, the BRCGS and Sunderland University.
